Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Cognitive Brain Apps, LLC ("Cognitive Brain Apps," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with this website and our wellness apps, Memory Enhancer and Memory Caregiver (together, the "Services"). We built the Services to be private by design, and we keep the data we handle to a minimum.
1. The short version
- Your practice data from the apps is stored in your own Apple iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. We do not operate a server that collects or stores it.
- Data is shared with a care partner only when you choose to invite one, and you can revoke that access at any time.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
- This website does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
2. Information we handle
a. Information you provide
If you email us (for example, at our support address), we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. In the apps, you may optionally provide profile details such as an age range or general background to personalize your experience; providing these is voluntary.
b. App practice data
The apps record your practice activity — such as memory-practice sessions, scores, streaks, and optional mood or energy check-ins — so you can see your own progress. This data is stored in your personal Apple iCloud account. We do not have a database that receives or stores your individual practice records.
c. Care-partner sharing
Memory Caregiver lets a care partner you invite view your practice progress. This sharing happens through Apple's iCloud sharing and occurs only after you send an invitation. You control whether to share and can stop sharing at any time.
d. Technical and usage data
Like most websites, our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) may automatically process limited technical information — such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested — to deliver the site, keep it secure, and understand aggregate traffic. Where we use analytics, we aim to use privacy-respecting, cookieless measurement.
3. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Services.
- To respond to your questions and support requests.
- To keep the Services secure and to prevent misuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited ways:
- Service providers that help us operate the Services — most notably Apple (iCloud/CloudKit) for app data and Cloudflare for website hosting and security — subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
- With your direction, such as a care partner you invite.
- Legal reasons, if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Services.
- Business transfers, if we are ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you of any change.
5. Health-related information
Our apps are wellness products and are generally not subject to HIPAA. Even so, we voluntarily apply safeguards inspired by healthcare best practices — including keeping identifiable practice data within your own iCloud account and sharing it only with your consent — because your privacy matters to us.
6. Data retention and your choices
Because app practice data lives in your Apple iCloud account, you control it: you can delete records in the app or remove the app's data from your iCloud settings. You can end care-partner sharing at any time. For any information you have sent us directly (such as an email), you may ask us to access or delete it by contacting us at the address below.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act or similar laws). We honor these rights where they apply — just contact us.
7. Security
We rely on Apple's and Cloudflare's security infrastructure and follow reasonable measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to keep our footprint small.
8. Children's privacy
The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
